HBSF Joins the Economic Growth Collaborative

The Harish & Bina Shah Foundation (HBSF) is now a founding partner of the Economic Growth Collaborative (EGC), an initiative led by The Convergence Foundation (TCF) to strengthen India’s long-term economic future.

Through this partnership, HBSF supports 6 organisations working on key drivers of national growth:

  • Foundation for Economic Development (FED) – The Foundation for Economic Development (FED), established in 2022, is dedicated to driving sustained and broad-based economic growth in India, targeting a growth rate of over 10%. It collaborates closely with governments to reform key sectors such as labour-intensive exports and housing.

  • Foundation For Advancing Science And Technology (FAST) – Established in 2021, The Foundation for Advancing Science and Technology (FAST India) is dedicated to building capacity and advancing policy solutions that foster scientific enquiry and research, and facilitate the creation, dissemination, and translation of new scientific knowledge.

  • Prosperiti – Established in 2022, Prosperiti’s aim is to build state capacity to increase economic freedom in India. The organisation is on a mission to catalyse a series of 1991-like reforms at the state level so that entrepreneurs can create more jobs and workers can earn more.

  • The Udaiti Foundation – Founded in 2022, The Udaiti Foundation (TUF) envisions a world where every Indian woman reaches her full economic potential, contributing to India's growth into a $10 trillion economy. TUF is committed to increasing women’s labour force participation rate and the number of women-owned enterprises, while also empowering women to make informed choices at home and in society.

  • Institute for Sustainability, Employment & Growth (ISEG) Foundation – Institute for Sustainability, Employment and Growth (ISEG) Foundation was launched in 2023 with a focus on sustainable growth and livelihood creation in India. It aims to drive large-scale impact across employment generation and net-zero transition and deliver high-impact projects in collaboration with government, corporates, academia, and other non-profits.

  • ATITHI Foundation – Established in 2025, Atithi Foundation aims to strengthen India’s tourism ecosystem by addressing key gaps, such as fragmented destination management, low brand visibility, regulatory hurdles, weak data systems, and underutilised heritage assets. It believes that tourism, if supported by systemic reforms and coordinated action, can drive sustainable livelihoods, regional growth, and cultural preservation.

For HBSF, this partnership is another step toward directing support where it creates lasting value, empowering problem-solvers, and contributing to India’s long-term growth story.
