Access Life Assistance Foundation
Access Life Assistance Foundation provides free accommodation and holistic support to underprivileged children (0–14 years) undergoing cancer treatment, and their caregivers, who travel from remote parts of India to metro cities for medical care.
Since 2014, Access Life has been running “Home Away from Home” centres near major cancer hospitals to ensure children receive uninterrupted treatment in a safe, caring environment. Access Life operates multiple supportive care centres offering free accommodation, nutritional support, transport, counselling, and informal education to children (0–14 years) undergoing cancer treatment along with their caregivers. With a large team of full-time and part-time staff, Access Life has supported over 2,800 families from across India. Our structured care model enables holistic recovery and reduces treatment abandonment. Using a custom digital MIS system, the organization tracks individual progress and outcomes, ensuring each child’s journey is met with care, dignity, and hope.
The Harish and Bina Shah Foundation grant supports a mixture of operational expenses and set-up costs for Access Life centres in Chandigarh, Manipal, Madurai and Assam, ensuring continued access to free housing, nutrition, and transport for children undergoing cancer treatment along with their families.
