HBSF Engagement
Harish and Bina Shah Foundation supports Ashoka University in building strong foundations in humanities, particularly through the establishment of Harish and Bina Shah School of Humanities. The school brings together english, history, philosophy, creative writing, performing arts and visual arts, as well as centres of excellence, including the Centre for Interdisciplinary Archaeological Research, Ashoka Centre for Translation, Centre for Studies in Gender and Sexuality, and Centre for the Creative and Critical. The grant supports faculty, interdisciplinary research with the humanities at its core, and infrastructure that empowers students to become bold thinkers, compassionate leaders and changemakers equipped to shape a more inclusive and informed society.
