About the Partner
Cachar Cancer Hospital & Research Centre (CCHRC), located in Silchar, Assam, has provided comprehensive cancer care since 1996. Established by the Cachar Cancer Hospital Society, it addresses the limited availability of accessible cancer treatment in the Barak Valley and surrounding regions. CCHRC provides affordable, high-quality care to patients, irrespective of their socio-economic background. Its work extends beyond treatment to include cancer prevention, early detection, palliative care and community-based services. Through its integrated approach, CCHRC brings essential cancer services closer to underserved communities and works to ensure that financial circumstances do not prevent people from accessing the care they need.
HBSF Engagement
HBSF grant supports CCHRC’s efforts to provide affordable, high-quality cancer care to patients from economically vulnerable backgrounds. It strengthens the hospital’s operational sustainability by helping to bridge temporary funding gaps, maintain workforce stability, meet essential operational commitments and ensure continuity of patient care. By supporting stable operations, the grant helps the hospital continue to deliver accessible and compassionate cancer care consistently.
