Khan Academy India
Khan Academy India works to give government school students equitable access to quality STEM education. Free digital resources support both teachers and learners, addressing the learning gaps that limited instructional support and stretched resources create.
Established in 2017, Khan Academy India partners with state governments to bring free, world-class STEM resources to government schools. Today the platform supports over 2 million students across six state and national education systems in more than nine states. Teachers use it to prepare lessons, deliver engaging classroom instruction, track student progress, and give personalised support. The result: stronger conceptual understanding, less fear of STEM subjects, and greater confidence, engagement, and interest in pursuing STEM education.
The HBSF grant gives KAI the room to grow with care — strengthening its work in the states it already serves and extending it to new states and school systems. This steady support helps bring quality STEM learning within reach of many more government school students.
