The grant from the Harish and Bina Shah Foundation (HBSF) is for the HBSF-MAHE EduEmpower Scholarship which provides full financial support covering tuition, hostel, and living expenses for deserving students from low-income government schools. Selected through a transparent MET rank-based process during B.Tech common counselling, scholars are chosen based on merit and financial need. This support empowers first-generation learners to pursue premier engineering education at the Manipal Institute of Technology. By easing economic pressure, it allows students to focus on academics, engage in co-curriculars, and plan for a future filled with possibilities.
