Rekhta Foundation

Rekhta Foundation
Rekhta Foundation, a registered non-profit social impact organization, is devoted to promoting Indian language and literature, and preserving its rich and varied cultural heritage. The foundation perceives its role as a catalyst in revitalising cultural sensitivity.

Since 2012, Rekhta Foundation has developed a robust digital and cultural ecosystem to preserve and promote Indian languages: Urdu, Hindi, Rajasthani, and Gujarati. Starting with the launch of www.rekhta.org, now the world’s largest repository of Urdu literature, the foundation has expanded its impact through digitisation, festivals, publishing, and learning initiatives. Its platforms now reach readers in several countries and serve a growing community of millions. By combining technology with cultural programming, Rekhta has made literature more accessible, inclusive, and engaging for audiences across the globe.

The Harish and Bina Shah Foundation grant is supporting Rekhta Foundation’s institutional strengthening by enabling investments in donor engagement, user journey automation, and monitoring frameworks. This support is critical for building long-term financial sustainability, expanding outreach through structured, and data-driven engagement with our growing audience and supporter base.
