Udhyam Learning Foundation

Udhyam Learning Foundation
Udhyam Learning Foundation (ULF) works with underserved youth and nano-entrepreneurs across India to build entrepreneurial mindsets and real-world problem-solving skills. Their work helps create opportunities, strengthen livelihoods, and gain greater economic agency.

Since 2017, ULF’s education arm, Udhyam Shiksha, has worked with 13 state governments to integrate entrepreneurial mindset education into government school systems through experiential learning. With more than 14,000 institutions and 55,000 educators, the program has reached over 4.7 million learners. It includes classroom curricula, youth-led business projects, and practical problem-solving activities. The approach has shown improvements in self-efficacy, grit, collaboration, critical thinking, and entrepreneurial action, while enabling more students, especially girls, to take initiative, lead, innovate, and build enterprises.

The grant from Harish & Bina Shah Foundation will be used for Udhyam Shiksha’s entrepreneurship education program in Punjab, institutionalized as a compulsory subject for Classes 11 and 12. Delivered statewide across 3,700 government and private schools, it is expected to reach approximately 2.67 lakh students. The curriculum is competency-based and project-driven, with teacher training, structured learning materials, monitoring systems, and industry exposure.
